Questions, answered
Why do the kicks change at midnight Sydney time?
So everyone in the world plays the same kicks on the same day. If you are overseas, the countdown on the results screen shows when the next set lands, and the game shows that time in your own time zone too.
Can I replay today's kicks for a better score?
Your first attempt is the one that counts. You can still practise today's kicks or try random kicks as often as you like. Practice never touches your score or streak.
Is it the same for everyone?
Yes. The kicks are generated from the date, so everyone gets the same distances, wind, wall and keeper. Your result is worked out from where you aimed and when you tapped.
How does the streak work?
Finish a day's five kicks and your streak goes up by one. Miss a whole day and it resets. Your streak lives on this device for now. Accounts are coming so it can follow you.
I cleared my browser data and lost my streak. Can I get it back?
Not yet. Your history is stored on your device only. Accounts are on the way and will fix this.
Does it work offline?
The game itself loads and runs offline once you have visited, and you can add it to your home screen. Sponsor details and the countdown to a new day need a connection to stay current.
Why does the wall block my kick?
The flight line turns red when the wall will block it. Aim higher, wider, or use the strike meter to bend the ball round the end of the wall.
Is it free? Are there ads?
It is free. It is supported by sponsors, shown as a hot air balloon, pitch boards and one card on the results screen. No pop-ups, no videos, and nothing covers the game while you play.
Do you take betting sponsors?
No. We do not accept betting or gambling sponsors.
Are soccer, AFL and NRL separate?
Yes. Each game has its own page (soccer, AFL, NRL), its own look, its own kicks, its own streak and its own leaderboard. You can play just the one you like. If you want to try another, use the Try our other games button inside any game.
Can I buy cosmetics?
The locker has balls, trails, crosshairs and goal confetti. Some unlock with daily streaks, and paid items are coming. Cosmetics are visual only: they never change physics, scores or leaderboards.
Why is NRL night and AFL a late afternoon?
Each code has its own look. Soccer is a golden-hour stadium, AFL a late-afternoon oval and NRL a night game under lights. It does not change the kicks.
Do I need an account?
No. You can play everything as a guest. An account lets you appear on the daily, weekly and all-time leaderboards and keeps your streak and results across your devices.
How do you stop cheating on the leaderboard?
Your device only sends the choices you made (where you aimed and when you tapped). Our server replays them with the same rules as the game and works out the score itself, so a made-up score is simply ignored.
What data do you collect?
